Rival candidates have heightened their campaign activities ahead of MDC-T's extraordinary congress as the battle to control the party intensifies. Early this month, the Supreme Court gave MDC-T interim leader, Thokozani Khupe, up to November 30, 2020, to announce dates to hold the party's extraordinary congress to elect new leaders. Mnangagwa Invites Chamisa Khupe To Anti Sanctions Meeting

GOVERNMENT has invited the MDC Alliance and MDC-T to grace the SADC Anti-Sanctions commemorations set for 24 October. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it remains unclear where the commemorations will be held but Zanu PF will hold an e-gala in Bulawayo. Zimbabwe Pedges Diamonds To Israel In Exchange For Military Training

President Emmerson Mnangagwa's government is considering selling diamonds to Israel in a  deal that will see highly trained security professionals from Israel coming to train the Zimbabwean Army, Police, and the dreaded Central Intelligence Organisation. Khupe Chamisa Fight Destroying Harare City Council

THE expulsion of MDC Alliance councillors by the Thokozani Khupe-led MDC-T has grounded local authorities, which are now failing to get the numbers at committee stages to agree on key decisions, it has emerged. Khupe and her party have been on the rampage, recalling over 160 councillors countrywide and 32 legislators arguing that they have joined another party   Cities such as Harare and Bulawayo have been particularly crippled by recalls at a time they are battling service delivery constraints.
