Koffi Olomide Flies In For Collabo With Roki

Congolese Soukus singer, Antoine Christophe Agbepa Mumba, affectionately known as Koffi Olomidé is in the country to record a collaboration with Rockford “Roki” Josphat.

The rhumba legend, who has many fans locally, was whisked straight to Passion Java Records studio together with the Roki soon after arrival.

In an interview with Zimpapers Television Network (ZTN), Koffi said he was proud to work with young musicians.

“I am proud. I feel happy, young musicians everywhere in Africa need to meet and share my experience. They want to perform with me,” he said

Recently, flamboyant self-styled prophet Passion Java together with urban grooves musician, Roki refuted allegations that they bought views for the latter’s new hit single, “Uchandifunga”.

This came after  “Uchandifunga”  broke the local record as the fastest song to hit a million views on Youtube.‌

The song was uploaded on YouTube on 1 July and had achieved 425 000 views after four days but the views suddenly shot up to 1.2 million within a few hours, leaving observers amazed.

“Uchandifunga” became the fastest video to attain one million views by a Zimbabwean artist in just a short space of 4 days beating a previous record held by Winky D who pulled one million views in just under a week with “Mugarden”.

After the million views hit, the music video has managed to garner just 200 000 more views in three days. This development has further fueled suspicions that the 700 000 plus votes came from a bot.

Roki’s Uchandifunga was produced by Oskid and the video was shot and directed by Director Sweezy under SAP. The song was released under Passion Java Records.
